Killarney is one of Ireland’s most popular tourist destinations and Begley’s Tours will show you Killarney’s amazing lakes from a vantage point only possible from local knowledge.

Depending on your group size, take a bus or car tour from your accommodation at a prearranged time. Heading East to the village of Anascaul (the birthplace of the Antarctic explorer Tom Crean). Tom Crean was a member of three expeditions during a period known today as the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration from 1901-1914.

On leaving Anascaul, we go across country to Inch Beach – location the 1969 film Ryan’s Daughter.

From there we will go on to Beaufort, the Gap of Dunloe, a narrow pass located between the McGillycuddy Reeks and Purple Mountain. Find 6.5 miles of breathtaking views of the 5 lakes and mountains. Pass across the Old Arch Bridge, the “Wishing Bridge” where when a wish is made, it will always come true…?

Optional: you can also take a pony and trap ride.

Then we go onto Killarney to visit the 15th Century Ross Castle, Muckross House and Gardens and the Torc Waterfall. From there we’ll go into Killarney Town Centre to browse the array of colourful shops on offer.

We leave at a time that suits you and collect you from your accommodation. The Killarney Tour can be arranged on route to your Killarney accommodation, or as a same-day return (round trip) to Dingle.
